Early Childhood
Our younger children (around ages 3 to 6) spend their class time together with the space held by two parents. The emphasis in this group is on imitation, reverence, and heart-centered connection. The rhythm of the day is the same every week allowing children, some of whom have never had time apart from their parents, to feel safe and held in love.
Circle Time
Children are led through a seasonal circle time full of song, story, and verse. There is joy, reverence, silliness, calm, and goodness interwoven during this time which cultivates and nourishes the incarnating child at this stage. Stories or puppet shows are shared by the teachers and meet the children where they are in their development.
Free Play and Guided Activity
The majority of the children’s time spent together is in free play with natural and open-ended toys. An activity or craft may be provided such as coloring or simple sewing depending on the age of the child. Materials are provided.
Snack
Snack is provided during class with great care given to ensure food sensitivities and allergies are respected. Bread baking or simple baking projects may be part of class, especially on festival days.
